There are many other Australian support networks and groups that are trying to stop and prevent childhood obesity. They can help parents at anytime. Here are a list of different support groups and networks.

They provide programs that run in primary and secondary schools in Western Australia. The programs help encourage the children to make positive changes in their life. 2. Healthy Kids Association- Healthy Kids Association is a non-government organisation that was established in Sydney in 1991. The aim of this support group is to encourage children to make healthy food choices. The healthy kids association try and help canteens make healthy choices. They also advertise and inform parents about how they can prevent diet related disorders from developing and the impacts in the adulthood stage.

3. Healthinstitute- Healthinstitute was first established in 1999 and is a government-funded health information service that helps Australians become healthy. They are against childhood obesity and provide information about how to take action against childhood obesity, how to keep your child healthy, how to seek support and provide many ideas and strategies for parents to use so their overweight child can become healthy.
